报告摘要：

In this seminar, I would like to briefly discuss what are NFTs? And where are NFTs going? Then, I introduce a new direct proxy for the public's attention in the NFT market: the non-fungible tokens attention index (NFTsAI), based on 590m news stories from the LexisNexis News & Business database. This index is developed from large-scale text mining to reflect the mimetic and emergent nature of the issues. Furthermore, this index could capture well movements and moments in the non-fungible token space. I further apply the time-varying parameter vector autoregressive (TVP-VAR) model to analyse the connectedness between the NFTs attention index and financial markets. In addition, SADF and GSADF tests are employed to detect price bubbles in the NFT markets.

报告人简介：

Dr. Yizhi Wang is an associate professor in Finance at Cardiff University, Cardiff Business School, UK. He obtained a PhD in Finance (FinTech and Econometrics) and an MSc in Financial Risk Management (Distinction) from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. He is an Associate Editor for the International Review of Financial Analysis (ABS3*) and Finance Research Letters (ABS2*). He also serves as a peer reviewer for more than ten leading academic outlets in Finance. His research interests include Econometrics, Data analysis, FinTech, and Sustainable finance. As a single author, first author or corresponding author, Yizhi's research is widely published in ABS-ranked journals, such as, amongst others, the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Energy, Energy Economics, Journal of Commodity Markets, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, International Review of Financial Analysis, Annals of Operations Research. He was awarded the Shanghai Institute of International Finance and Economics Best Paper Award. He also has his own Digital Asset Indices database, including Cryptocurrency Policy Uncertainty Index (UCRY Policy), Cryptocurrency Price Uncertainty Index (UCRY Price), Cryptocurrency Environmental Attention Index (ICEA), CBDC Attention Index (CBDCAI), CBDC Uncertainty Index (CBDCUI), and Non-Fungible Tokens Attention Index (NFTsAI).
